The Griboedov Canal from Nevsky
by Robert Miph

A Summer sunset with its soft sunbeams touching lightly on the walls of the houses. The Sky is ever changing between bright blue but with grayish overtones. The waters are moving slowly, reflecting evening's soft colors. The artist over and over again comes back to depict the same sites in the city at different times and weather conditions. Vertical brushstrokes enhance the cathedral making it lofty while opposed to the horizontal spacecinious while small strokes of water reflect its resilient surface. The size is 12" x 15".
