When Special Forces Soldiers first landed in Afghanistan to link up with the Northern Alliance to put down the Taliban they arrived prior to adequate military transport. Using their typical resourcefulness they used what were available - horses. The solution was an excellent choice even though on occasion the horses refused to move under fire. In order to blend in with their allies the soldiers dressed like the indigenous forces on the ground. Their effort was a spectacular success.
Special Forces spearheaded the effort against the enemy and in record time had the Taliban on the run. This print is dedicated to Special Forces training, courage, and initiative the world over. Day in and day out Special Forces lead the way in all situations and risk their lives to live up to their motto?De Oppresso Liber!
Our Special Operations soldiers continue to fight for freedom in Afghanistan and Iraq and it is a privilege to document their heroic efforts through art.
